Dude, I get sick if I go lower than 60. The baby takes from what I am getting! They say you have to be comfortable, and not to fret about mgs so much.. As long as you are comfortable! The baby will go through discomfort most likely if I am...

HI Ive been following your story for the last few months you need to try and keep your dose down as low as possible when we first spoke you where at 30 now your at 60 your going the wrong way...for the sake of both you and your baby keep your dose as low as possible they will have to ween your baby off of it when he/she is born so the lower your dose the  ezer it will be..JEN YOU CAN DO THIS dont use the clinic as card blanch to escalate your dose it will just make it that  much harded to come off in the end...
good luck and God bless.........Gnarly

Someone told me that methadone doesn't show in your system.. Also, I think the nurse isn't giving me the amount I asked for! I am used to taking 60mgs a day (from the street), and she told me I should stay at 40mg. I never knew you only took one dose a day and it lasted you 24hrs. I would take some in the morning and at night. So I really am kind of uncomfortable at night! I looked at the cup, and she was like its 50.. It really didn't look like anymore than what I have been taking! I think I am gonna ask for the wafers instead! She knows I am pregnant.. She is kind of bossy too! I don't trust her!! What do you guys think?? Should I stay on a low dose? I am afraid of my baby being uncomfortable!!!!

do you mean  are they going to drug test you > they may but as long as you are getting it from a doctor that is aware that you are pregnant it should be OK.

Thanks hun.. I heard it was a **** to come off of!! I don't know if I can do it after baby, I am going to be the one taking care of it 75% of the time!!! If I am sick I don't know how well I am going to be to my kid!!! I really wanted to breast feed, I am probably not going to be able to now huh??? Lucy, when I first went in they gave me 30mgs, the last two days they gave me 40mgs, and  tomarrow I can go up to 50mgs. I do feel a very small small amount of discomfort at night.. I am afraid to go higher in dose because of the baby though.. I would like to really try to take the least amount possible, but I don't like the idea of my baby possibly being uncomfortable...

HI Jen the less time your on it the better also the lower your dose the better methadone is a real grind to get off of.... once you have your baby you can give it a shot but it is a lot harder then coming off pain pills dont let this discourage you from trying if I could do it after being on it 6 1/2yrs at 150ml anybody can do it...but you got to want it bad and be willing to put up with some discomfort to do it...it took me 8 1/2mo of tapering going in and out of withdrawals along the way but I did it 228 days ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made....good luck and God bless.......Gnarly
