Bone Grafts and meth

About a month ago my friend was in a car accident. He had to have bone taken from his hip and grafted to a bone in his foot. This friend has previously been an occasional user of methamphetamine, and has not smoked since since the accident. He wants to do it once, but is trying to find out what the effects are (if any) of methamphetamine on healing bones. Any information you can share would be helpful.

Cheers!

Just remind your friend about how fast amphetamines bleed calcium from bones to promote osteoporosis ....... if that doesnt do it there are plenty of more reasons. Ask friend how well he will do on new bones if he blows out a heart by using....and I could go on and on

While I indisputably agree with both of you, I'm still looking for specific medical information. If anyone has any knowledge about the effects of meth on the healing process, please share! My hope is that legitimate info may steer my friend in the right direction.

Have no clue but I would discourage it at all. This substance is highly, mentally addictive.
