I remember the burning tummy all too well. Next to the RLS it was my least favourite detox symptom.
Definitely putting tiny bits of food in your tummy will help. Premium plus crackers always make me feel better. The salt helps too.
Drink lots of fluid.
I also don't drink milk but found comfort in warm almond milk. It was soothing. Same with peppermint and chamomile tea.
I used Gravol OTC for nausea.
Day 3-4 are the hardest. You will notice improvement after that. Hang in there. You are almost over the hump.
Lu
I took OTC Zantac and that helped. This should pass with time.
Have you been eating anything all? Or hydrating? You need to make sure to drink lots of water and try to eat a little. A Banana here and there would be great, ginger ale, toast or crackers.
As far as the burning goes...Pepto Bismol...or something that coats the tummy if you have anything like that. If you have a regular doctor you could call and see if he'll call in something for you too. I used Zofran when I was CT which worked really well.
Some people say milk helps with the burning but since I don't drink Milk I can't swear to it.
I'm sure there will be some other tidbits of advice in a bit too :-) Hang in there...day 3 is usually the worst...it will get a bit easier each day after this now!
