Relapsed

Well I relapsed last night and bad ended up taking 7 or 8 10mg percs. I had been clean for over a month off percs and a couple weeks off suboxone. I just finally gave in to my leg and hip pain and reached for my prescription bottle. I know I should have flushed it when I stopped but figured after a month or 2 I could handle taking 1 or 2 if I was in severe pain but found out I was wrong about that. Now I am paying for it severly my head is pounding and I got my 2 little ones wanting a fun day with daddy. Just wondering if I am going to go into wds again or if I should take suboxone again for a few days. I have some of them in the medicine cabinet to as I got off suboxone a lot quicker than the doctor wanted me to since I read the horror stories about it long term. I know I got to get my but and take the kids out to do something fun and deal with how I feel but will wds kick in again. Thanks for any help

Don't take the subs. remember how hard it was and the withdrawals were horrible you should be fine.

Good job on flushing the pills so you're not tempted again.  Sorry about your pain.  The relief the pills give just isn't worth the grief they give.

Good luck to you.  I'm sure you have but being a mom something in me makes me have to ask, "Have you tried Ibuprofen for the pain?"  I know it doesn't take it away, but it helps.  :)

I wouldnt worry so much about the wd's again.  I would focus my energy on what can i do differently this time.  The first thing would be to clean out that medicine cabinet and get rid of everything you have in there, including the sub.  They are just a crutch and will call your name.  Stay positive and start working your recovery........sara
