Congrats on your 9 days! I'm not sure what you were using, but if it was opiates you should start to see the end of the physical WD's. However, the mentals take much longer. You will heal a bit each and every day, but those mentals can kick in and grab hold even when you are feeling pretty strong. When the mentals kick in posting here is a great idea. So is making sure you are involved in a program as atthebeach said. Church, counseling, NA/AA. The programs are meant to help you in your journey...folks who will also "talk you down" and help you before you need the talking down. Keep up the fight and a HUGE kudos for you to reaching out to your friend when you were heading down the wrong path. Be proud of yourself but also keep up your guard. Keep fighting and GREAT job!
congrats on day 9 and for resisting..It is a constant struggle as addicts we deal with every day..U got this....Hugs
Yes you can move forward. You can win this struggle. You have been at this for awhile now. Don't let the pills win again.
You didn't get addicted in 9 days and you can't expect to heal in 9 days.
Keep exercising, get to counseling, meetings, church.
Change your way of thinking, please be more positive.
There is freedom from the chains and bondage of addiction.
Don't let the pills control your life any longer.
Please stick close to the forum.
Stay hydrated, are you eating?
Keep on keepin on.
Congrats on 9 days that is awesome.
Sending prayers,
Debbie
Hey Wendallat great job turning the car around! So glad your friend was around to talk you out of it and definitely glad you posted about it. 9 days is awesome, but still early. I know how you feel. But please hang in there because very very soon you will feel like a brand new person. Its just not worth going backwards now when you have come so far! You definitely don't want to go through this again right? So moving forward, this is the time to hit a meeting. If you feel "weak" again, please take time to post about it before you get in the car and give us a chance to talk you down too! I am rooting for you! Stay strong, hang in and know that it will get easier. You can do it!
