Want to introduce myself

I am a new member and I want to introduce myself..I have been clean from hydrocodone fro a year.

I started taking hydrocodone after my double mastectomy and stayed at the 4 a day for about 2 years, then I startedtaking more.. At the end I was taking 40 to 50 Norcos 10/325mgs a day for about 3 years.  My husband was starting to get addicted, he was at 10 to 15 a day.  My stomach would get so upset that I would snort them.  I was going to 4 doctors a week at 100 to 120 pills a doctor and 2 online rx's pharms at 90 pills a week.  I was lying in the hospital after a kidney biopsy and $70,000.00 in credit card debit I told my husband that I wanted to get clean.  No doctor would take with amount of pills I was taking, they where afraid that I would get really sick.. WE finally found a doctor that detoxed me with SUBOXONE, after 4 months I was clean with little discomfort.

However I still suffer from severe pain and there are still days I have cravings to take pills..I do not want to pick up so I need some place where people understand.. Where they know what it's like to be in pain and not able to take anything..

So there it is,  I go by cocobean lisa

Welcome to the forum. You came to the right place to find people that understand! Most of us have been through or are going through similar situations. I was on hydro myself. I started using from a back injury. I never took sub though. Just wanted to give you a big welcome! There are so many wonderful people here that help tremendously! Don't be bashful. Everyone on here does not judge and are here to help!

Welcome and good for you staying off the pills. I too had a bad addiction for 5 years and went CT almost a year ago. No one may believe me but I don't have cravings I guess I have just been very blessed and I'm pretty stubborn so once I made up my mind to stop I just can't let myself go there:-) It's wonderful to hear from someone that has done the hard work and gotten clean. It sounds like you have been through a lot and the reason for your success is that you are strong.

You might want to look in my journals for the post on amino acids. Several of them help with cravings and mood. Also a dark chocolate 70%+ cocoa will help with the cravings.

Suboxone, Is the best way to go, I once tried to detox with methadone in a hospital for 7 days..it was so bad I picked up the first day out of the rehab.

With suboxone, you do it slow so you get used to being clean in the mind also
