I had the same situation. A few weeks after stopping Darvocet I needed a big molar removed and it hurt like hell for 2 weeks and I HAD to take Percocet. My hand would often shake a little when I looked at that pill in my hand resisting like hell not wanting to take it. 5 years ago I tore up my foot in an ATV accident and was concerned about becoming addicted to Percocet. A very wise nurse told me... "When you take narcotics for real pain you'll be ok, it's when people take them for a high that they get into trouble". Well after the dentist removed the molar and 2 weeks of percs, a few weeks later my regular dentist took an x-ray and said part of the molar was still there and needed to come out before the implant was placed. I had to go back to the extraction dentist (periodontist) and go back in there! Well it was worse pain and longer healing of 3 weeks and percs. I'm gald to tell you after 80 percs (7.5mg) in 5 split weeks over 2 months I was absolutely fine, no withdrawal, no constipation nothing. That 'wise nurse' was so right. Apparently the brain knows when it needs real help with pain, but when you give it a drug for a high for no reason, it presents us with a huge $bill$ for the party. I hope this helps put your mind at ease taking the Percocet responsibly, you'll be just fine. Rememmber staying ahead of the pain is easier (less med) than waiting til' it hurts and trying to catch up. Morning was the worst for me and in between the percs take 400 to 800mg of Ibuprofen and DO NOT bend over as it raises the blood pressure above your neck and will light it on fire, best of luck to you !!
How bad is the molar pain? I am assuming pretty bad. If you NEED them for the pain you are going to have to take them. Notice I said for the pain, not the other "false" feeling of well being. Stay with us and talk to us. We can give you support. You were almost at the edge of the forest on day 2. If you made it that far, you can get out of the woods. Stay focused on the goal. If there is anyway you can just take regular over the counter meds for that tooth, PLEASE just use those. Best of luck and stay in touch.
