Could I be addicted?

I'm 18 and I was introduced to vicodin about 8 months ago taking up to 7 pills a day, since then ive been taking 2 to 2 1/2 pills a day. Am I addicted? Also, I only have one kidney and high blood pressure, is vicodin affecting my one kidney?

1 kidney plus drugs = BAD IDEA!!!! Sweetheart listen to me I am a 19 year old girl who was (well is once an addict always an addict) a coke addict, 3 years sober. The point is you will have withdraw and you will feel like **** for a few days and when your done you WILL want more, but i beg you stop while you can!!!!!! You will see so many of us on here trying so hard from such higher dosage. The thing is if you dont stop now it will only get worse... a story for you to keep in mind...

My cousin started just like you did... he is now 19 years old has been in rehab 3-4 times he switched to heroin a few months into using b/c the oxys were just not doin the trick anymore. and let me tell you i vistited him in rehab on his 19th birthday while he cried and said he couldn't believe everything turned out this way. He only did it for a little fun and it escalated (sp?) faster than he could control it. To the point where his veins are destroyed he is no longer allowed back at his mothers home and he has few friends left (that aren't only there to get him hooked again)

If you think you are addicted you probably are. If you are buying from a dealer he will bug the sh*t out of you to buy more once you stop. STAY STRONG. do not hang with friends that use do not think that 1 more wont hurt IT WILL.
PLEASE PLEASE stop while you can we are all here for you

You've been taking it everyday for 8 months so you probably have become dependent on it psychologically,
and you definately have become dependent physically as well.. which means: withdrawal!

i'm not sure how that will workout with one kidney, maybe you should taper more slowly than usual i don't know. talk to your GP about it.

i have a great alternative to drugs: i talked about it in the thread below
