Withdrawal's

I am curious about this. I have taken hydro's for several years on and off for migraine headaches.  I then became pregnant and did not take anything (obviously).  After giving birth I have been pretty consistently on hydros' again for the same thing, headaches.  I know that I probably am addicted in a sense. Well, of course I am.  I have taken 3 or 4 5 mg/325 a day, and now am trying to cut that down to 1 or 2.  Am I on the right road here...what kind of symptoms go with WD's? Lately, with not taking as many, I feel anxious, and have had some bowel issues.  Does that have anything to do with it?
Thank you in advance.

Yes those could be withdrawl symptoms most definitely. My symptoms are diarhhea, dizziness, chills, sweats, weakness, depression....and i am trying to get off hydrocodone also. But my dose is probably much more than u, so my symptoms are probably worse. My dose is 8-9 750mg pills at a time...and ive been taking vic's for over 2 yrs now...But good luck on getting well!

Thank you for the comments. This is a very neat site and I feel comforted reading all the posts.  I won't go into much of who I am, but this is a vice I have had to deal with on my own. I do not want my husband or parents to know because I don't want to burden them. I am a big community girl...church girl...travel singing Christian music and now have an adorable son.  It's amazing how this is so real..the addiction and how I can't believe I have gotten myself to "looking forward" to taking one of these little pills and at the same time justifying the reason for taking it.
It's not just hollywood, I see..it's normal everyday people struggling.
Anyway, I am going to keep looking here because this is very helpful.
Thanks for the vent session and God Bless.

yes that is w/d ...You are a very low dose, so glad you noticed now..I like everyone was once on that dose, then turned out to be from 15 to 20 10mg a day...If you can taper , this shows how strong you are...These things are posion, so you are doing the best thing right now...I sure wish i would have found this site when i was taking that many...
good luck
you can also slow down your taper if it is getting bad, or just bite the bullet and go for about 5 days of flu like symtoms...

Yes on the boewl issues and yes on the anxiety.

Don't mean to scare you, but there are several WD symptoms; however, since you've only taken 3-4, I don't think you have too much to worry about. I've read some posts here where people take 15 / day.

Personally, i;ve been through WDs before and am on day 2 CT of Vic's, same as you, 5-325mg. I only took'em for about 1 1/2 months, so my WDs aren't too bad, but there nonethelss.

On the bottom right of this screen, you will see under Most Viewed Health Pages, "Amino Acid Protocol". Try that...it helped me. Vit B Complex, Vit C....

For bowel issues, take some Immodium or Pepto, very, very common unfortunately but goes away after a few days.

If you cut down to 1-2 day, you are on the right path...good luck and keep posting; we are here to help.
