Day 11 -What a difference a week makes!

When I knew I was going to stop taking methadone I called  all the detox centers in my area and asked alot of questions. I had heard that methadone was very hard to come off of and I fully intended to have to be hospitalized. I told my family that we would try this at home and if I got real bad I would go to hospital.  Well, today is Day 11 NO methadone-only advil and vitamins.  I am feeling better except for not sleeping.I think I'm gonna get through this. Today I am trying to find a counselor and make an appointment. I definitely don't ever want to go through this again.

Congrats on day 11. Methadone is hard to get off but u did it. Great idea on looking into an addiction counselor. We cant do this on our own. Good for u and congrats again to ya...Ang.

Way to go Teena, I'm on day 26 I think and it gets better. Life is so much better. Now we can be thankful for what we have and not worry for what we don't.
