I have been totally clean for 11 days now from a hugh Oxy habit....  Is there any idea how long this awful fatigue will last?

Well, he guessed. That's all we can do, so make your own guess and work toward that day ...

Maybe hit the coffee a little harder, and move around more (last part's easy to say, but ...)

There's an "activating" antidepressant (?) out there called Wellbutrin. I couldn't sleep on the stuff, so ask around.

Hi and welcome Pcaz,

You would do better if you started your own post and let us know who you are, and what is going on. Often coming in on some else's post means that the post will get lost.

Please go to the top of the page and hit the green "post a question" button.

Hope to see you in the forum. If you need help, let someone know.

Hi everyone,

I am on day 9 from going thru an oxi detox at a local hospital. I was taking anywhere from 4-6 60mG a day for 2 years for pain from 2 bad back surgeries. I was laid off from my job of 20 years back in march due to economic conditions and have blown 2 interviews while I was on the drug. I need to get back out there and find a job b4 all is lost. My wife has developed several stomach and intestinal disorders since my severance has run out and I can't look at my 2 kids without going somewhere to cry. I have a history of depression and anxiety for which I take meds, but right now I feel like I did with my first bout of depression which lasted for almost a month. I am at the end of my rope. I keep pushing to do stuff but it only lasts a few mins and I'm back on the couch or pacing. I have been reading through some forums but can't find out how long this feeling will last. My Doctor guesses 2 months but if that’s the truth... I guess I need to hear something positive to help me through. Is there anyone out there that can shed some light on this dark situation????

Hey Kev,

Funny to say that as that is my first name also.

Well, it goes like this... I'm actually clean of Oxy's since June 30..... I bought some meth pills and took them for the first week, slowly tapering one less a day.

But, man Kev, When I stopped the Meth, it was like I never even took the Meth... Things were bad!!!

I am now truly on day #11 without using any drug whatsoever!!

I'm still very fatigued, major cravings, and I'm not out of the woods yet.

I'm going to a NA meeting tonight at 7

  Trying to stay positive

I read your rather matter-of-fact post with awe and considerable envy ... how the heck did you survive the w/d's, going from 300+mg to nada?

Regarding the fatigue, it's a guessing game. Everyone recommends exercise (makes sense), but getting to it is another matter, as bjmbb noted in his response to you.

On the artificial front, have you tried that Red Bull swill? Do pharmacies still sell Wake-Ups? They used to come in a little matchbox thing with an overamping rooster on the cover ... they're caffeine pills, and if they're still around, a lot cheaper than that ghastly Bull stuff. If you have BP issues (too high), maybe take it easy with stimulants ...

Seems that people who did regular workouts before and even during their use jump right back into the exercise thing, and I've not seen anyone post it made them feel worse.

Maybe you'd be wise to get a check-up, with bloodwork and poking and the hammer thing ... might have a deficiency or something.

But how the heck did you stop? It would be a great service to many here to get an answer to that one.

Good luck.

I'm on day 11 also. Norco. Yesterday and today I have been really tired. I have read that this is to be expected so I guess we just need to stick it out. Some say a little work out helps. I can see that, but still unmotivated. I have read that each induvidual has their own time frame. Hope yours is short.
