Day 12 - no pain!!

I have to say that I am at day 12 today and today is a good day. I woke up happy and today is the very first day I have no physical symptoms. No chills or restlessness. I am in a good place right now. I am noticing things that the tramadol masked. My emotions are stronger colors are brighter and I have no pain. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 5 years ago right around the same time I started taking pills but since I stopped my pain stopped! Just wanted to let anyone who is struggling know they can do this! :)

That is great to hear...I definitely turned a corner around days 10-14.

It's funny...I've received a fibromyalgia dx too...about 8-9 years ago.  I rejected it.  The doc who told me I had it spent a total of 10 minutes with me before he announced that THAT was the disease I had.

I've since learned I have degenerative disc disease and pinched nerves.  Also, I have noticed that I somatize stress as pain.

Last week was horrible for me, for example.  I walked off of a job I had just started 3 weeks earlier (I was being verbally abused and harassed, among other things.)    Aside from my BP sky-rocketing, I noticed my whole body hurt.    I had aches and pains everywhere; it felt like when I was first withdrawing from opiates.

I'm convinced that emotional stress is a huge factor in our well being..I think it gets dismissed by the medical profession too much.  How many times have I heard a nurse or doctor tell me "it's JUST stress."  *just*   As in...it's not that important..

Anyways, sorry to go off on a tangent.  I'm glad you're feeling so much better!!

Hugs,
-Robin
