HI and welcome to the forum...well it sounds like you did a crash of a taper so the going is ruff and you can tell by your symptoms but on the bright side your already threw 6 days of it so mabe in the next few days you will start to see the light a bit more clearly...at least the physical part will be over ...then its just the mental grind you have to deal with that can take a wile to get past ...from my experence with it the first 30 days are the hardest but it does get better each week that goes by....every month you get after that is a little better then the one b/4 it just takes time to heal...I had a big nut to crack...10+yrs on the pills then 6 1/2 on the methadone so its been slow going for me but try not to get discouraged
every day you get your that much closer to feeling better your thew the worst of it by now just hang in there a bit longer you can do this its just going to take some time to heal...give it a chance and you will....good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
If you weren't on methadone for a few weeks it won't take long but after a month or so it takes longer. With methadone it's more about the time on it than the dose from my experience. Where you on it for maintenece or did you get it on the street.?
If you read the methadone tapers you will find that the methadone has strong effects even at rediculously small amount. I did a fast taper, divisions by half at high doses but planned the taper so I had enough to make it to low levels. At 7.5mg I thought this is bound to be low enough to stop and not even no the difference. Wrong. I was not puking, but I was feeling so crummy that I went back to an even slower taper. Can't tell you how amazed and foolish I feel about this. The methadone just is not the same as other drugs. Don't know about H. But when I switched from oxy to methadone it was about 1 to 3. 280mg of oxy to 80 mg. "done". Even though it might seem like you are going off the eqivilent of a couple perc.s a day its probably more like 7 or 8 of them.(I think). You could be sick for a long time. At least if you get more try only using a fraction of what you did last time.
