Day 23 Anger

I didn't get a good nights sleep last night. took 2 Aterril about an hour before bed then tool 5mg ambien. Woke up about 2 or 3 hours later and I think I took the other half of ambien. Had to get up every couple of hours for a bathroom pit stop. I've been awake on and off since 4;30. I finely got up at 6:30. I feel hung over. I had a girl to clean my house yesterday and ended up going behind her and doing more than her!! But hey she was some help. Anyway I had a real hard day and was in a lot of pain when I went to bed. I hate this hung over feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been angry a lot lately. Anyone would be a LITTLE upset or nerves shot....but not like this!!!!!!!!!! I keep my mouth shut and scold myself. I just don't like me like this. God Bless All

Hi- do you think you're getting yourself riled up here?  Getting annoyed is normal but holding in anger is not healthy and the stress will manifest in other ways...

Right now you need to get that sleep situation squared away.  Part of the problem may be the 50% drop in ambien. Maybe the drop should be smaller than that...Also, you need a quiet, comfortable environment for sleep. No TV. Maybe some quiet reading.  I would get in bed and then take the Alteril and ambien together. Read for 1/2 hour and then lights out!

Your disposition will most likely get better with proper rest. What do you think?

DO NOT GIVE UP there K..This just takes time..You know the word that most of us do not like to hear in Detox..Believe me! I was told by a Head Dr (I call them that) that it could take a year or two for my Brain to balance back from my many, many, to many years of drug & booze use. I do have almost 9 years from the Booze but over a year off drugs. It has taken me a while to turn the best corner yet..PATIENCE my friends..Each day as the Sun come up brings us this much closer..We did use for a long time so the Brain needs time to balance back..Hang on to that Surf Board..YOU will be walking in the Sand soon..AND I had headaches when I first came off my meds for a while..You will be able to tune into this all and know it is just all part of the Healing process for most..lol

The point is "your almost a month clean" what if you gave up just before the break through? All this suffering for nothing!! I feel your pain and I know your a strong woman. For right now just lean on God and us to get you through it. Have you tried Advil for you headaches? Dr. told me to take  3 and that would last me 4 to 6 hours instead of 2 every 4 hours. Hope this helps. I don't mean for this to sound harsh. God Bless you

Hi Tooter... You sound so much like me!! We are only a day apart in this wonderful experience, so I wanted to share what I am going through too. I am 26 days clean today, but it seems the last few days a have been waking up with MASSIVE HEADACHES!! I just don't know what to do. I try having some caffeine and a couple of Tylenols...nothing. So then I think maybe I need to eat something, so I have cereal, and that makes my stomach upset. Every da_n day it's something!! When will this all end??? I am getting very upset. Almost a month clean, and I still feel like crap. It makes you want to give up and just say what's the point of being clean for almost a month? I don't feel any better, and I'm in a foul mood because of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated..... Kat
