Hi..Congrats on 5 days!!
You are coming around really good! I am just amazed that you got that much sleep. Thank the Lord you were not on a high dose and for too long on that nasty beast. I have detoxed off both hydo/oxys and then Methadone.
Just keep staying positive and do not get discourage if that sneaky beast sneaks up and you are experiencing some strange stages(mental mostly). Just know this is all part of the process and it will pass..Keep up the Faith and the Spirit inside you will grow.
You are doing all the right things so far for the healing process.
I sure hope you get other Support as well. The detox part passes bye fast, it is working on staying clean & sober that takes the cake.
Bless

If I remember correctly, you're kicking methadone right?
If so... Congrats on day 5!!! The fact that you're feeling "ok" and are able to sleep and eat, is amazing!
Sometimes day 7 can be tough for methadone w/d. If that's the case, don't get discouraged. You're probably gonna have good days and bad days since I hear w/d's come and go for the first month coming off methadone. Just keep in mind if you have a bad day or night, that the next good day is right around the corner. Keep fighting thru it!!
Are you taking anything to help you thru this? Vitamins? Meds?

Your right on schedule. The physical part of detox will start letting up a bit, but, this is the time when the mental struggle kicks in. You'll have good days and bad days, so you have to stay focused on recovery. Be sure the sources are cut and that you've told a few trusted people about your addiction. You should also be in after care - NA meetings and the like.
You're doing great, but again, this can be a very dangerous point in recovery because your head will start telling you all sorts of lies.
Hang in there, and congrats on five days. You're over the hump.
