Day 6 Detox

I am on day 6 of detox from Norco.....250mg a day, addicted for 6 years. I have gone through the worst of the physical issues....I am taking motrin for body pain that seems to be working, but it is the brain issue, depression, no motivation, just a sadness. The fatigue is unreal!! When will I begin to feel good mentally and is there anything I can do about this fatigue?

I was in my 5th week clean before i really started getting the energy and motivation back..we messed w/ our bodies for a long time...it takes time to repair the body and brain. You are doing well.

Have you tried exercising at all? I found that really helped get me moving...but I really had to push myself to do it, but it was worth it!

Hang in there..it will get better.....

It does pass, but it takes time. I know this will sound bad to you, but exercise really helps. The first day you exercise it will stimulate production of endorphins which will be made that night between 2-4 AM. The next day when you exercise the endorphins are released. Endorphins can dramatically lift your mood and energy. The fact that you have been on them so long is a factor in recovery time. Just be patient.

Thanks so much for the information but, I am on Wellbutrin and Lamictal they are for mild mood issues per. my G.P. Doctor. I even took a diet pill today phentermine and I still have no motivation! Can't get a thing ...Will this pass? Is it because I have been on Opiates for so long?
