Day 7 - Some withdrawal symptoms return need help

Today is day 7 for me.  The anxiety is a little less, and the doctor has me on a VERY minor dosage of lorazepam to help with that as needed (.25mg).

However, I've had several normal...uh, you know.."movements" the last few days.  This morning I had the Big D four times in 30 minutes and it was just like days 2 and 3 when it was really bad.  It was JUST like day 2 and 3...even with the yellow "foam" coming out.  Sorry to be so descriptive.

Any thoughts on this?  Nausea, too...more than I've had on any other day.  There are a few things I'm thinking here that could cause this.

1)  I quit the tramadol (was on 1 to 4 a day for two weeks) on Wednesday.  Lortab is what I'm clean from, but my old doctor (idiot) put me on tramadol as he was weaning me down.  Maybe the tramadol is causing a mini-withdrawal?

2)  I did not take my clonidine last night.  I know it helps with the stomach stuff and I'm thinking maybe that it's either a withdrawal from that, or it allowed the gastric stuff to speed up.  It supposedly slows down the gastric processes and can cause consitpation, so it counteracts the Big D from withdrawals.

3)  Doctor had me increase Lexapro to 20mg from 10mg.  I don't remember having the big D as a side effect when I started this, but who knows.  I'll have to look up the profile on it for side effects.

Any thoughts from anyone?  I'm really concerned...I was really hoping I was over this stuff by now...or that it would be minimal.

I am taking Nexium (over a year) each day, so I don't think I can take anything else there.  The anxiety has picked up, and I dry heaved about three times in the shower.  Not fun, but I'm hanging in there...

Yes, I stopped the tramadol about two days ago.  Was only on it sporadically for about two weeks before AVISG and my new doctor told me to quit taking it and you shouldn't be on it with an SSRI  (I'm on Lexapro).

I would just see how it goes today you may have picked up a stomach bug or you may have something completely unrelated going on .

I struggle with that on occasion still.  I started taking Prilosec also and that has helped.

I have found that the Prilosec Can help with some of the G.I stuff. I have G.E.R.D. So That is what I take for it. I have not been taking it latly. As it seems to come and go. But When I get it really bad, The Dr said I can take 20mgs(one tab) twicw a day. One in the morning, one in the evening. You can get it OTC now. It is expensive. I get an Rx from my Dr. Ther is a place here in town I can get the Gen really cheap. It helps me. It would not hurt to give it a try. It will not get rid of the BigD, But will make your tummy feel better.

  Good luck,

i looked at the Big D as getting all the toxins out of my body. I read here someone took rank pedilite (SP?) for dehydration and said it really perked them up. good luck to you. you're getting there!

I've been sleeping fine...better each night.  In fact, I slept from 10:45 to 6:20 this morning when the Big D hit and almost didn't make it to the bathroom.

Some mild stomach cramping/pain is back.  I'm thinking it could be a combination of all the changes maybe (1 through 3 in my post above).

The lorzepam is really helping with the sleep, for sure....but I thought I would be over the intestinal issues by this point.  I know the stomach/gut stuff can continue for a little while...but this is really crazy.  I also know that 90% of your serotonin is in your intestines, too, so they can be really sensitive.  But, this was exactly like the Big D stuff on days 2 and 3.  I took an immodium an hour ago...hoping that will help, and took .05 clonidine (half a pill) to see if that will do anything but this is really frustrating.
