Day one of detox...

Well it's been about 24 hours now since my last norco! Woke up feelin fine, got ready for work (I'm a manicurist), and by the time I got there at about 9:30am, withdrawls set in, shakes, sweating, stomach in knots... so needless to say I rushed through my client and got home ASAP, luckily I only live ten minutes from my salon! When I got home it was close to noon and I was able to take my first dose of suboxone, I was prescribed 8mgs a day, but have only decided to take 4mgs a day, as I ave heard that 8mgs would be too much?! Anyway that has helped so much! I still feel tired, headache and a lil shaky. I do also feel as if I am missing something, I hate this feeling and hope it passes soon! I know the second and third day is ALWAYS worse, but I hope it wont be for me since I do have suboxone to soften the blow! Anyone else take suboxone for withdrawls, and if so can you tell me ow it helps or doesn't help you? Thanks for reading wish me luck, I'm determined to beat this and find a much healthier way to deal with my pain!

No problem, I recently stop doing the same stuff. It's now 40 plus days with out anything so i really understand were your coming from. I did 2 week only, for the exact same reason your doing 3. I didn't want to exchange one poison for another. Once your done with the 3 week tapering process of suboxone, its all mental at that point and you just got to make the last step and take nothing. first few days are a bit weird but nothing like the other stuff w d. Trust me you can do it i was taking stronger stuff and suboxone help me stop. Good luck and keep posting for support.

Thank you for your post. That gives me hope! I only plan on staying on the suboxone for 3weeks, just do a slow tapper, because of the chronic pain I already have I didn't want horrible WD's and to end up back where I don't want to be. Thank you again!
