Do they prescribe sub for pain?
I don't think they actually precribe Sub. for pain, but it does help alittle.
Thats great if you can level out at 2-4 mgs. Much better to taper from there.
Actually, from my undestanding, from a legal standpoint, any Dr who can prescribe narcotics can prescribed SUB for pain. He/she must clearly put this on the label "take 1 pill 2 times daily for pain," for example. But, the Dr does run the risk of the DEA feds asking questions. And of course there are several ways to get the DEA waiver anyway. As I understand it, its real easy. One 8 hour course, being involved in research regarding Sub, and a couple of other ways, like going to approved conferences, etc.
I have read that for some it works for pain and others say it does nothing at all. So we will see.
Godspeed to recovery for all
I was on Subutex for one week. Doc switched me to Suboxone on Monday. I have had no desire whatsoever for a pain pill and I even have 3 vics left. I am on 8 mg 1/2 in morning and 1/2 in afternoon. Been a little tough for me since the switch because I used to get a little "euphoria" from the Subutex. Now that I am on the Suboxone I don't get that, but i still feel ok. My doc said they will help me with the pain but I have been u p every 2 hours each night crying with pain. In my own experience they do not help with the pain. Maybe different for others. My doc also strays from the recommended amount. When he gave me the Suboxone he said the insurance companies like to see "take one tablet once a day". That is what the bottle says but he told me to take 1/2 morn and 1/2 halve evening.
yes, it can be prescribed for pain...
i think it helps my everyday pain...but it doesnt do a thing for my fibromyalgia flare ups...NOTHING!
but i hear of others that swear by it...either way, its better than the fog!!!
