Thank you for getting back with me. I'm still having some sleep problems but not that bad. I'm getting my natural energy back but my mornings are rough for some reason. My eyes are still sensitive to light, is this normal? I seem to have more energy after 2 in the afternoon. I've been taking anti-depressants since my early 20's. I take the smallest dosage possible. I take 1 10 mg prozac a day and my .5 klonopin twice a day for anxiety which i just started taking the anxiety meds two months ago. It's been 25 days now and like i said before i feel a little clouded in my head. when will that go away completely. Thank you for talking to me and helping me. I don't feel so alone. I will look into therapy and counseling for my anxiety. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you are doing okay and good luck to you as well.
Sincerely,
Nady
Hey nady,
Sorry to hear about all the problems you have been having.
I became addicted to oxycodone, my later part of my pain treatment. I used for the right reasons like you for pain. Then became dependent and then addicted...
I cant really tell your what to do because I don't really know the areas of anxiety meds or prozac. Never used or needed them until my opiate detox thankfully. I did use ativan to get off opiates the first 2 weeks then I ct taking those. Im on day 28 of being clean and I still get small waves *5 mins maybe 1-2 times a day* Where I feel nervous, not anxiety so much anymore, but I did get anxiety today that I haven't had in a few days.
It just gets better and better through the days. Im positive that it will get better for you day by day. But being on those other meds for so long messes with you as well. You may want to start therapy for the original underlying problems with anxiety. The position that I em in I would loose my job and lots of things if I went in for **************, so that was not a option for me. So I talk with my wife and mother.
You dont gotta worry about getting your heart rate up with panic attacks from what my doctor told me. He said make sure you get enough exercise otherwise you will have a higher likely hood of getting them. You dont gotta be afraid to work your heart it will not stop on you. Its one of the strongest muscles in the body.
Like I said see if you can get into see a therapist(a good one, hard to find) and your situation will get better. Good journeys.

Thank you for your response and advice. What were you addicted to and how many a day etc. I was taking 2 a day 5mg vicodin for 9 1/2 months for my breast pain. I have cysts in breasts that make my chest feel like it was on fire. I also had a surgery on them in 2005 it was that bad. When the pain came back last year i couldn't bear the thought of going through that again so i called my doctor for something for the pain. I had no idea what i was getting into. I've never taken pain pills or been through this in my life. I will never touch a pain pill again. I'm terrified of them. I can't believe the withdrawals. I always took my medication as perscribed 1 every 6 hours. I took one at 7:00 a.m. and another after lunch at 2:00 p.m. Now i deal with the pain by taking stuff like tylenol, motrin, aleve, advil stuff like that. I take 1 10mg prozac a day like i have for years and .5mg of klonopin as needed for anxiety. I've had anxity since high school. I am 35 years old. It's been 24 days now and i still feel a little clouded. How much longer. Please give me some hope that this will go away altogether soon. I don't have cravings for the vicodin all i care about is getting back to normal. I want to work out but i'm afraid if i get my heart rate up i will have panic attack. I also feel a little anxiety in my chest so that discourages me from excercising. When will this go away too. I can tell it's getting better i'm just anxious to be my happy energetic self again. Thanks again for your comments please get back with me .
Sincerely,
Nady
Sorry to hear that your having to deal with anxiety its definitely the worst part of withdrawal for me. It will subside. I dunno how bad it is for you? I took ativan the first couple of days to help me sleep. I'm on day 27 being opiate free and i still get a bit anxious at times. Its not constant like before, but I get anxious when I get out of my normal and go places out of my comfort zone.
Like I said I dont know how bad your anxiety is but mine was debilitating. I had no problem with the aches, the food flying out both ends, fever, and just general blah. The anxiety destroyed me and made me go to the doctor. I quit taking ativan because you will walk from one habit to another. You should not use any benzo for longer then a week or two.
If your still having problems go to gnc or a whole foods store and get these.
Things that helped with my anxiety were as follows:
Working out
eating right (when i can eat if at all)
Sam-E (literally a godsend if you are not pregnant or on antidepressant.)
5-HTP
Theanine(natures valium)
Multivitamin
Take a peek at the amino acid protocols.
No I don't think it's the ambien. How many days without the vics? Withdrawal caused me great anxiety. But it got better each day! I think the ambien is a good idea for a few days but it may be hard to get a good nights when you run out. But after 7 days you should be able to handle fewer hours sleep. I still occasionally take advil pm.
