Depression is the pits!!!

I've been clean from percocet and Vicodin for 30 days now.  The worst part of all the withdrawls for me has been depression.  Does anyone know what you can do for that, OTHER than Anti-depressent drugs.  I don't want to switch one drug for another  but I was wondering if there is anything else someone has done to help with this.  Thank in advance for any responses.

Yeh,depression sux.I have been clean from methadone for 17 days and now that I am straight the issues I ignored are all still
there. My doc gave me a rx for wellbutrin,a anti depression but enough drugs already,God is there a drug for everything?Don't
feel alone about depression. From all I have read and heard on these boards, depression basically is your mind asking for the drug it craves.Mental withdrawals are far more painful than the physical type.Just keep on Not taking painkillers and find a friend or a system. No one can do this alone.Hang tuff.

Yes...

Depression IS NOT fun. I've had a pretty shitty week too. I guess when you've screwed up your head with tons of Ultram (Like ME) it takes a LONG time to get back to "normal"-- Of course I don't know if I've ever been "Normal"!

You know ULTRAM is also an SSRI (Anti-depresant) so coming off it can lead to depression on top of the regular withdrawls...

The only thing I'm on now for pain is tons of Ibuprofen and also a small dose of Elavil (Amitryptilene).

Hope you get to feeling better soon!
