Do you ever get to feeling normal taking suboxone

I started suboxone 2 1/2 weeks ago.  I feel awful.  I have no energy, anxiety, can't sleep, can't eat.  I feel bad in general.  Does it get better, and if so, when???

Ive done the suboxone thing twice.  What you have to remember with subs you are filling your opiod receptors to stop the physical withdrawl.  You wont have the "high" you are used to getting from prior drug use.  Your mind really is missing that part of your drug use.  To answer your question in my opinion feeling normal no.  But it is suppost to keep you from being physically sick and in complete opiod withdrawl.  You may want to see your doctor and get on some antidepressants.  Please Please get into some aftercare support group.  It will help a lot.  Good Luck!

Please consult with the doctor who prescribed the suboxone, you should not be feeling like that 2 1/2 weeks into it. Your dose isn't right, or you may need other meds in addition to the subs right now. It's not normal. Best of luck to you!

I was taking prescription pain meds due to 2 back surgeries in which I was left with nerve damage.  I stayed on hydro 3 1/2 yrs, until I finally went to a couple of pain specialist.  They tried different procedures, that did not help, and started changing my meds.  They got me in such bad shape, I had to come off all of them.  I don't like taking them.  I'm just in so much pain when I don't.  I hope we both do well.

Thanks Lene. I hope to taper down to the 8mg soon. My concern is making sure I get to the root of the problem,(why I was taking pills in the first place), before I come off of the Suboxone. I would hope you have that in mind when you are thinking about coming off of these. It treats the withdrawals and physical cravings but it doesn't fix the mental side. I am definately not speaking from experience, but it just makes sense to me.
Best of luck.

I'm taking 8mg.  He wanted me to take more, but I just don't want to, because I heard they usually give you more than you need.  No, I'm not going to meetings and getting aftercare.  I feel better than withdrawals ,that for sure, but I just feel out of it.  I'm having anxiety alot.  Wishing you well with your treatment.

How much Suboxone where you prescribed. I am 1 week in to being on Suboxone and compared to being on the Oxy and the Withdrawals, I feel pretty normal. I am at 16mg but I think I have heard that is sort of high so I am going to taper down to 8 as soon as possible. I hope you get to feeling normal soon. Are you going to meetings and getting aftercare? How long are you planning on using Suboxone?
