Does It Matter

I love the high of Trammies, but I quit.  I went CT from +1500mg to 0 and that's a good thing.  However -- Now, I'm busy getting drunk.  Six of one, half a dozen of the other..... what's the difference?  

I don't get it.  I suffered through WD from tramadol, but I am replacing it with a nice warm Rum buzz.  Is it a matter of just trying to mask the pain of RA and FibroMyalgia or  a bigger issue.  I'm rather pi$$ed that I'm in this predicament.  Is it that I have a "chemical" problem, or what?  I feel like I'm not making any progress.

Solice is SO right...YOU waited one minute to say we suc... and byte me?  Come on now...PLease Loose the attitude, you can help so many here trying to get off of trams...

I traded alcohol for pills, so i think alost of addicts do that...I do have back pain, sometimes really bad from degenerative disc, but i use a heating pad, advil, you would be surprised what OTC things can do...
good luck, congrats on getting off of that much Tramadol, that is great.....

yes you are replacing one for the other . Addiction affects people of all kinds and not just people that have done things wrong ..it has nothing to do with not doing anything bad to anyone..You did this to yourself as we all did. Only you can change it. This is a wonderful forum with many wonderful people. There aren't a whole lot of people on here in the middle of the night so please be patient. I also would suggest that it's not a great idea to post if your drinking and angry..The fact that you are insulting people for no reason kinda gives it away.
congratualtions for quitting tramadol..That is a very wicked drug and you are lucky to be done with it. If you care to answer..how much are you drinking a day or night? Of course drinking daily is not a good idea and only you know if your having a problem with it..

Its really, really common to replace one drug for another.

The easiest answer would be to to attend meetings, therapy. basically to devote your life to being sober. And if you are in chronic pain, try looking into alternative therapies.. hot/cold therapies, acupuncture, (good ol' tylenol) and other non narcotic pain relievers. Exercise, increasing circulation... etc, etc.  I hear you about the pain management, its tough when the addiction needs to be addressed at the same time as the pain.

If you really want help though I'd lose the attitude.  we are all addicts here and we all need help.. Your initial post says 11:45pm... Im typing this at 11:46 PM.... Which means you waited one whole minute to tell everyone "byte me" for not responding to you.... within one minute.

Be patient... noone is going to give you some magical answer or a cure to your woes. And it definitely wont help to insult the very people that you wish to help you.

Thanks the support when I REALLY needed it,  you all suc..  Glad to see you only help those that have posted for a while.  I'll be sure to recommend this board for those just getting cleaned

I was clean of everything for 3 weeks.  Now I just want a nice buzz so I don't hurt.  I don't necessarily miss Trammies, I just miss hurting.  I never did anything bad to anyone, so why am I sorting my way through this?

I used Tramadol to ween off of hydros back in January but I am back on the hydros and looking to get clean again. How many days is this for you c/t? I traded one drug for another for a brief period and it worked for me. Maybe you are just using the rum to mask w/d's like I did. I would never want to have to detox off alcohol though as I watched one of my friends go through it and OH MAN was it gut wrenching!! Please be careful. We all have addictive personalities otherwise we would not be here posting.
