Why would you want to do it without help. You have two choices, wander thru the woods looking for the path and taking your chances with the wolf, or take the hand of someone who knows the way.
this forum is very helpful and it's a good addition to any addict's program of recovery. but there's no substitute for face-to-face interaction with addicts in recovery. i would suggest that you hook up with the NA folks in your area . . . you will find people who have been where you are and know the path to where you want to be. look at eanaonline-dot-org . . . that's for the "Esperanza Area of Narcotics Anonymous" -- no doubt you will find hope and encouragement there.
