How does one exercise when they feel so weak, I started out feeling better, and the runs to the bathroom are back day 4 and I feel so tired., boy I knew when I started taking OXY because of A frozen femur bone, and Crp level of twice the number it should be, I would be sitting here today. then onto the morphine, darn.....
Hi strawberri!
I was on an opiate called Dilaudud for 9 months due to cancer treatment. I went to detox in the hospital first wk of august. This is now wk 7 and I'am still going through what is called PAW post acute withdrawal . It can last for months. Go to the right hand column at the very bottom of the page and click o PAW it will give you alot of info on what you can expect. It's going to take alot of time for your body to heal and recover from such abuse. I still feel exhausted all the time and shake inside to this day. But I must say each day is a little better. My head feels like it's still in a cloud. I find exercise helps alot . I walk 1/2 mile a day stretch out and work out a little with bar bells . I dont think any of us get much sleep. In my after care program everyone complained obout sleeping. Eat good food and Good Luck. MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS NAME A-MEN!!!
It depends on a few things, mean half life of the morphine er--(extended release), your metabolism, your overall health, and other drugs or alcohol in your system. I have been through w/d's too many times and I hate to disappoint you but the acute w/d symptoms last 3-10 days, and fatigue, low energy, and an overall feeling of "****" can linger for months. My peers and I tend to put it this way: for every year you overused an opiate, expect 6 months of "recovery". NOw there are many things you can do to help and support yourself, exercise is the only thing that will help to heal your endorphin and energy levels. Good luck and don't get discouraged, nothing good ever came easy:)
