I had gone cold turkey off 20-25 hydrocodones per day a few times, and each time had to work while going through withdrawals. (I did that at least 3 times and went over 20 days of not taking any, then I would relapse) And I'm a water meter reader (6 years now) and we walk 10-12 miles a day and are constantly moving. Walking from box to box, opening the lid for each box and getting the numbers off of the meter to put in the processor. Every step seemed so be so hard. (we walk about 7 hours straight 5 days a week.) I don't know how I did it sometimes. If I where to try anything that that now a days, I don't think a could do it again. It seems like every time I try to quit the withdrawals are always worse than the time before. Now I take Tramadol, which I think is a worse drug. I did not really know that though, I thought being on Tramadol was better than hydrocodone when I got on it. Now I think Tramadol is about one of the very worst drugs a person can be addicted to. Hang in there, be around as many friends as you can as often as you can or talk online or Talk on the phone. Keep your mind busy. Eat a lot, sleep as much as you can. Maybe check out the Thomas Recipe online, I heard it works wonders. Hope some of that helps some. Good luck!
Alot of the w/d's are mental...so if you sit there and plan for them to be overwhelming then they probly will be.
Sometimes during w/d i would be working on something and would forget that i was feeling bad.....
You can do it..
How much were you on ?
I did it .I found for me it made it easier I had something else to focus on .It wasn't easy and there were times I asked myself if I were nuts .however in the long run it really helped me back in the swing of things .what and how much are you coming off of .what day is this
