Looking for positive feedback on Methadone Withdrawl

Jumped off 31 days ago (who's counting right?) and I thought day 30 would be some "magic" day.   My w/d initially wasn't as bad as I'd thought.   I never believed you all about the lack of energy.  My Lord in Heaven.   It's like 10%.
As an addict I want what I want WHEN I want it!!!!   ;)
I'm 48 and I'm starting to think *this* is what clean feels like...  reinforcements PLEASE!!

Yes been hitting meetings... Ironically, I haven't drank in 27 years and AA just got "old" -- all folks did was whine and complain about the good 'ol days or how they are f-d up.  I'd moved on.   I'ved noticed the same (to a degree) in NA after about 40 meetings since I put the devil down...  I don't know WHAT to think yet only being 30+ days in.  Feeling ok now though.

Hi, welcome. YES, aching legs is part of withdrawl. Opiate wd symptoms are so erratic. You think they're over, and bam, they pop back up. It WILL pass. Our old nemesis patience is in order here:) Also, are you in aftercare? I'm sure you know that once we put the drugs down, we are just addicts w/o drugs. We need help to face life clean. Meetings etc will also distract you from thinking about how crappy you feel. Hang in there and keep posting:)

PS- steaming hot bathes for aches. As long as you can. With epsom salts. It will relax you too.

First off congrats on your 31 days, there isnt really a magic number some come around faster then others, just hang in there , it will come back , some days will be better then others with energy, i know i went back to work 3 weeks in and it was a hard. The one thing you have to keep telling yourself is , this wont last forever , the energy will come back. Just keep pushing thru the days. A few things i did to help was to start exercising and eating healthy. I know it sounds crazy exercise , but you need to jump start your body in producing its own , and not relying on the drug , that is no longer there. Even if its a walk down the sidewalk , everyday go a  bit farther.  YOU so go this in the bag. just keep at it. and for reference it wasnt till i hit around 40 to 50 days that mine started to come around. Im now 440 some days clean and sober , and i can tell you life is great, it has been for awhile.
