Congratulations Ga Guy!!! You have clearly worked hard every day and deserve this so much. You have every reason to be so proud and every reason to keep it up!!! You are always a straight shooter and that's what I love about you so much!!!

Love, Jacky xo

IBKleen- My husband was looking over my shoulder the other night and said the same thing as you and I was like, " Georgia, Paul, Georgia, He live's in Georgia!"   LOL, LOL!

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words. I can only speak to what worked for me. I went to a 6 week outpatient rehab. While there I started my 90 meetings in 90 days at AA and NA. I had a sponsor within 2 weeks. I work the steps every day. It's worked for me. Thanks again for all the wonderful and kind words. You all are the best. God bless, Ga Guy (not Gay Guy...not that there's anything wrong with that).

Congratulations! this is a huge accomplishment.

We first met in the fall of 2007 and it was you, me and FLaddict who were chatting quite frequently.

I remember sitting one night watching tv with hubby and typing away on my lap top. He said "You have been typing for hours". I told him " I just met some really nice guy who is just like the rest of us, struggling and he admitted it. He also came right out and announced his sexual preference". I was telling hubby how impressed I way (new to the internet and chat). So hubby asked "Did he tell you that?" and I said "No, but his screen name is Ga Guy". He gave me the strangest look and said and said "Did it ever occur to you that he lives in Georgia????". OH MY, I turned bright red!!

Well, that was the beginning of our relationship. I have seen you go to the very bottom and now I see you on top. I know how you got your year, you sought aftercare.

How many times we talk with others about it and until you hit that brick wall 20 times face first, you don't understand.

I am no different from you, I fought it for years and since finding a recovery plan that is right for me, nothing worked and I continued to relapse.

I am so very proud of you. You have come a long way and you are making it one day at a time and helping others along the way. Kudos!

Keep up the good work and glad to see you here!!!!!!!!! Thank you for all you have done to help me.

That is such a HUGE accomplishment!!!  All of you who have bene clean for that long are such an inspiration to me!  I really look up to all of you!

I can't wait until I can say the same for myself!

I would like to here from GaGuy what his thoughts, feelings, and structure is for maintaining this for a year!  What were his biggest struggles?  And how he's managed to keep himself clean.  I think it would be very useful information.

I'm actually copying, and pasting all of what I think is very valuable, and important information into a summary portfolio for myself to reference back to, and reflect on.

I would also love to hear the same from Dominosarah!  I really admire the both of you!!!

Way to go!!!!  And Congrats!!!!!!
