Hi again, & thanks for answering my question. Sounds like you might be a slow metabolizer. Usually, the time you have to wait on Vics before you take Subs is anywhere between 12 and 24 hrs. Luckily - if it is precipitated w/d's you have a mild case and won't have to wait that long for it to pass as the Vics half life is diminishing. The other possibility is you're having some type of allergic reaction to them.Subs can be a difficult drug after opiates. It was for me. You'll know if this is the case when you take more Sub. I know it's hard to lose a job but this might be a blessing in disguise! You have the time to kick now. There are many posters w/ commitments and children, etc. that are trapped in the cycle. Maybe this is the opportunity you've been waiting. The Universe works in mysterious ways! Either way, we're here...
Hi I am so sorry u r sick..I tried to let you know...You were to give at least 48-72hrs of not taking a opiate with it...It acts like the pill they give drinkers..If they have a drink while on the pill they throw up and get real sick..You really should see a DR that works in the addiction field so you can taper or be under there care if u want the Subs..Please do not try to self-medicate your self...This gets us in even worse trouble them what we already are dealing with...I do hope you feel better..I feel for you..I know..

I took 1 8mg strip 19 hours after my last vicodin and i think i rushed it. I started throwing up around 5 am and have threw up about 30x since then. So now it has been 42 hours since my last vicodin. I laid down most of the day and felt fine but everytime i stood up i threw up. I just threw up about 5 minutes ago and im finally feeling better and actually sitting up now. No with drawal feeling my head is a little cloudy but functional. I have 2 suboxone strips left and i dont plan on taking another for a couple days and when i do take i will cut it into 4 pieces and that will give me 8 strips left which i will take over the next 14-20 days depending on how long they last each time. This is my only option.....lost my job AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! so no insurance and not much cash so we will see how this goes. I will give everyone a day by day update. Thanks for the support. Its nice to know that im not the only person in the world who has to go through this and im not alone. thank you guys :)
Hi & Welcome,
You can do this! But you've got to really want it. You don't have to take the Subs. It's a much stronger drug and you don't really have enough to put the proper amt. of time between you and the Vics. It sounds like it's disagreeing w/ you. How long did you wait before you took the Subs after your last dose of Vics. This is important!
Hey!!! Come Back, Come Back....We are here to help you..This Road is not meant to Walk Alone....R U Alright???

I can hear thru your words that your in a bad way physically and more important mentally. Things are closing in on you as it did to all of us and the fear of continuing trumps the high thats been long gone. Stay close to this site. Make your mind up that you WILLNOT buy anymore pills. Surrender to the process of w/d, but dig you heels in to the resolve of taking your life back. Have you started a good multivitamin and purchased some supplies to help ease detox? I don't know anything about sub's but kinda sounds like a bandaid if your not under a Dr. care so you can be consistent. We're here to hold you up. You can do this....promise!!!
yes i have a family no kins bot close relatives and its all a secret.....i took the sub and i have thrown up a few times now and cant sleep......we will see what today brings
I am 14 days clean off of a taper schedule which I greatly screwed up as addicted as you are and I was cold turkey is the way to go like the previous statement said it is short lived and the withdrawals don't last forever. After 14 days the only discomfort I have left is some anxiety and some RLS but it isn't near as bad as the beginning! I wish you luck and hope you can come out if this!
Hi as Overopiate said Talk to your Doctor or another one...Be honest and ask for a taper plan..Do not have them in your hand..The lil ol tape in the brain will play the tape back for more..It uses every excuse in the world...Please do not mess with the SUBS you have no clue what that one is all about..Speaking from a little experience...That small amout will just intense the w/ds from the other opiates...You either have to talk to Doc or just Jump the Boat like alot of us did..The Grass is Greener on the other side..We can help you here Step by Step on how, why and what we use to help with the detaox state..It is so short lived compared to the years of use...Keep Checking Back..We do care...

I saw that you posted another question just like this one. For future reference it is easier to help if you stick to just one of them so that we don't get confused. No worries, this is just so that we can better help and you don't have to check two or three different threads.
I understand,
I have lost more than I care to mention over the course of my addiction...all except my soul and there was likely a time that I would have traded it for them.
Do you have a family or anything? You can tell more of your story if you wish.
If not...
What are you considering doing to recover if you cannot get into treatment?
I am from Illinois and i was given some by a friend about 7 years ago and it has snowballed from there. Im 28 years old right now and these pills have messed up my money, my jobs and everything. I will prioritize these pills into my budget and they are by far the biggest priority and i have had enough.
I cannot advise on what you should take of the sub. I know what you are going through and I have been there before. You have lost control and you have found the right place to come to for help.
There are some treatment centers that will take you in without insurance but it depends on what state you live in and what treatment center you go to. I am in KY and you are not far from me. I don't want to get your hope up about the treatment centers though because I do not know what the basis is for them admitting someone without insurance. If you were not far away I would say you could try a treatment center that I went to in Louisville KY. It had a KHC fund that would pay for a short stay inpatient. How did your addiction start? Were you prescribed them at first?
Do you have a family?
I saw that you came on here in NOV of last year struggling with this. I am glad you have came back and I hope that this time together we can get you through this.
Like I said you can try some treatment centers but if that isn't an option, even as scared as your are of the w/ds, we are going to have to do this the hard way.
Either way it is possible and we have all been there,
Welcome back,
Larry
