Tomorrow is Day 7

Hi everyone. I'm doing well. The pelvic injection on Tuesday seemed to have worked. My pelvic pain is gone. Now its my sciatic nerve going into my right butt cheek down my right leg. It hurts horribly.  I cant hardly walk and its making life very difficult. I have a full time professional job and walk to and from the parking lot to my car I almost cant do it. Looking forward to my appointment on the 19th so I can talk about my back injection to try. I'm finally sleeping better too. Night 9 with no Ambien. Thank you all for your support. I'm staying here and will continue to post. I know mentally and physically I will need continued support.

Thank you. Yes I'm hoping we can find one that helps because I seriously cannot take this pain. I don't crave or want a pain pill but I want and need to be out of pain. Its getting worse and worse. It wakes me up at 3am in pain I cannot describe! Nothing is helping. Pelvic pain still gone.  Today is Day 8!

Ashley, that sciatic pain you describe down the right leg is EXACTLY what I had. Same pain area. I know where you're coming from. My hernia went from the outer back towards the nerve, your's might be heading to the nerve from the other direction, inside heading out to the nerve(?) So I don't know if your doctor wants you to stay put because of your injury and I don't dare give any medical advice, just want to share my experience w/you. When I walked the swelling went down. When we move the fluid in all our disks goes down releasing the pressure on injuries like hernias and bulging disks.  My injury happened in 09 but to this day I keep on moving. (my 2 dogs are about to walk me!)  I'm also here to tell you that the very first ESI brought an end to the excruciating pain I had.

So glad the first injection worked for you in the other area!! I pray that this next one works just as well for you. You have a great doctor going there! You will get through this.

Thank you. Today was a great day. Surprise visit from my mamaw who I haven't seen in 6 months. My pain kept me up last night but today wasn't bad. Right now I'm in pain but staying positive. I'm very tired and already ready for bed and its just 8:19pm. Stinks.

Way to go Ashleyanne!   Whoooooo HOOOOOOO!
Now that is the positive attitude we all love to hear about!  Going forward with other pain management and not the scripts. Wow!  Awesome job!  (I'm giving you lots of exclamation points today)  LOL

Also keep in mind that as your body recovers from all the drugs, it will rebuild its natural pain fighting and I strongly feel you will begin handling the pain (wherever it might be in the body for all of us) so much better once the body is clean and sober for some time. Yes to the ICE.   I would also strongly suggest you reach out to someone with a year or more of clean time who might also have similar pain issues.  Figure out how they manage these pains without drugs.  And great job on the no Ambien. Another one you can check off your list.  Bravo!   H.F.

Congratulations on your clean time. Sorry about the pain, but use ice packs on it, that will help.

I am sorry you are having pain. Good job on the clean time. I also have the sciatic nerve pain. Mine is damaged from a disc. If you can stand it, try to ice your lower back. It really helps the inflammation, but it can be hard to get through the first 5-10 minutes. Hang in there. you are doing great!
