Adderall is a VERY dangerous drug. Not only are College students across the Country popping these little devils for enhanced focus, retention ,  & cramming information,  but it is also popular among addicts as an alternative to cocaine.  Although it appears innocent, as in pill form.. it is just as dangerous and addicting as crack cocaine or heroin.  Just because it isnt smoked or injected and lasts for hours with a small dose for beginners,  (making it a cheap high)does not mean it isnt addictive or harmful  in  a number of ways. I am an unfortunate example of the dangers of Adderal,  begging with an initial dose of 30mg lasting 12+hours, with lingering enhanced mood for 24 hours up to currently(10 years later, still hooked), taking 120 mg initially. with high now only lasting about 5hours and then popping more chasing high for typically 3 days  consuming about 500mg on average spree. This drug is no joke & I know for a fact that it is abused widely.  I have not had a stable emotional, physical or financial life since I began abusing adderall.. It is completely deceiving, and Cheats users out of happy, healthy, productive lives!!!

I just stopped using Adderall.. I was taking anywhere between 120-240mg's a day (orange caps-XR).  Mainly for the stay up.  I loved staying up for days on end.. I would usually eat 3 (90 mg's) to start off and several more to keep it up.  I did this for a while- and I usually ended up staying awake for at least 3 days.. and after about day 3 my mind was warn.  The delusion is awful.  And when day 4 or 5 came around I was seeing things.. Not solid figures or anything.. but the lack of sleep was causing hallucinations in areas I wasn't focused on.. like out of the corner of my eye..  Not fun at all.  Keep your kids away from it!  It's all over schools.

You may have been lucky enough to escape consequences, but not many do. The physical mechanics of strict addiction may not even apply. Amphetamines, of course, are not opiates and very few physical withdrawal symptoms will be presented when discontinuing the drug. But the mental end will really mess with you....

It becomes actually more of a strong dependance as oppossed to strict addiction. I am thinking that you probably dont use them to stay up for a few days or anything. If you did you would find it hard to write a work that anyone could comprehend. But you will think that a Pulitzer Prize is in the mail for you. .............speed kills. I learned that in 1969.

I have used it. I am a writer and use it when I need to work. It is an amphetamine for kids or adults. I find NO addictive qualities to it ... in fact I hate the side effects (no appetite, dryness in the mouth and anus, bad breath, excessive horniness, "buzzed" eye balls). But I have heard of others getting really hooked.

Adderal is being abused more and more. It is an amphetamine and as such can be abused. Lots of school kids are abusing their med (which is overpescribed) and getting in trouble. And some of the others just sell their med - and quite a few adults are taking their kids meds like that......it just aint right.
