help with thomas recipe

how much b-6 am i supposed to take?

oh im sorry i didnt see this sooner!!  are you taking this with l-tyrosine?? well in our case we need much higher doses then a normal drug free male...i would start with at least 50mgs to 100mgs..

if you are taking l-tyorsine for energy is needs b6 to help get absorbed...so start out with 1000mgs of l-tyrosine and 50mgs of b6 or 2000mgs of l-tyrosine and 100mgs of b6..

you can adjust according to how it makes you feel...i didnt like too much because i got some anxiety and felt a little jittery....take it when you wake up on an empty stomach at 30 minutes before food.. i personally like 1000mgs l-tyrosine, 50mgs b6 and 500mgs of l-taurine, give me a nice bit of energy in the morning, but in our case you can take a little more, but use depending on how you feel and for ever 1000mgs of l-tyrosine take 50mgs of b6 for absorbtion..

Well i went ahead and just took 1 100 mg dose and i was fine, I didn't feel anything I am suprised no one knows the answer for this yet

If you take a vitamin b complex, you have them all in once, easier.

I have B-6 100mg capsules sitting right in front of me and i have the same exact question you do as far as if it needs to be cut up and taken at a much lower dose. I would assume not solely based on the fact that the ladie at the health food store told me to take 1 daily.  I mean, i hope they're aren't pharmacist. lol I'm going to research this and hopefully come up with an answer.

The thomas recipe says get a bottle of a 100mg dose of b6  so if im only supposed to take 2mg  should I cut the pill down as much as I can for this Thomas recipe? thanks so much for the info im just so new to this.

Where is it found?

Vitamin B6 occurs naturally in poultry, fish, pork, cereals, eggs, vegetables and fruit. It is also widely available as a dietary supplement.

What is the recommended daily intake?

Men should ingest 2mg daily and women 1.6mg. People on a high protein diet, and those who drink heavily need more B6. Women on the Pill also tend to have a low level of B6.

How much is too much?

Scientific studies have shown that B6 can be dangerous in very high doses. One study suggested that long term use of doses of 500 times the recommended daily level may cause damage to the nervous system. A second study found adverse effects in humans from ingesting a dose as low as 50mg a day, although there are question marks over the methods used in this investigation. The government plans to limit the sale of over-the-counter B6 to 10mg doses, with a doctor's prescription needed for larger amounts.
