Help ?! I bet this is something new to you

Well  this might sound weird, but stay with me... i lived in florida a couple years ago and i was on a subutex maintenance program. It was going great and i was clean for about 6-7 months. Then, I had to move overseas to Lebanon, it's situated in the middle east. Well here's the fun part. This piece of **** country does not import neither suboxone, subutex nor methadone; so naturally I went back to shooting up heroin, it's been 3  years now and I've exhausted every treatment method they have here and nothing seems to work. I really need to go back to my maintenance program or I think this is it for me, I'm still gonna be shooting heroin by the time I reach 40 and I'm only 22 now. Well anyways if anybody thinks he can help me somehow, I would really appreciate it if they contact me on ***@****. I still have siblings in the states that can help me out as well but they don't know much about this stuff but are willing to do whatever it takes to find a way to get me the medicine. Anyways anybody that's willing to help me out I would really appreciate because honestly I am just sick and tired of this ******** that's been going on for years, I just want to go back to my maintenance program and move on with my life.

Thanks,

As weird as this may sound, in a country where over 60% of people between 14-24 are heroin addicts, they have no opiates-agonist (Suboxone, Subutex, Methadone, etc..) based detox or maintenance programs.
The only way here is to go cold turkey to get thru the detoxification phase. Then, for following 3-4 month after the detoxification phase, they bombard your brain with antipsychotics such as Leponex, Respiridal, etc… mood stabilizers such Seroquel, Lamictal, etc… and of course some kind of benzodiazepine  such as Valium or Klonopin, etc....
So, their idea of maintenance program is to completely shut down your brain with antipsychotics for a couple months so that you wouldn't think about drugs or think at all for a couple months. They simply paralyze your brain in hopes that when they get you off the meds you’ve already had forgotten about your habit. This is insane.

Well friend, I went cold turkey, because that's the only available way here, and I'm clean already, Withdrawals aren't such a problem for me because I've went thru them more than a couple times if you know what i mean, My problem is the cravings, I never seem to last more than 2-3 month before I relapse, I need the Methadone or the Subutex as a maintenance program, not as a detox program know what i mean? Now, in regards to moving back to the states, well that's one of the question, I've been moving around my entire life, I already settled down here and i'm not moving bac k.

Hey ,welcome to the forum. I want you to remember that this is your life at stake. If you continue, the outcome will probably be an early death. You must put this addiction and recovery as number 1 in your life. The most important thing is to get help and get clean. That being said it sounds like you have only 2 options here. One would be to go cold turkey where you are and see if they have any 12 step programs there. The other is to move back here where you know you can get the help you need. Keep reading and posting.
