Hi Chris. I got off of tramadol, about 15 a day, cold turkey in March, and it was misery! If you can, the best thing to do is to taper. Have someone give them to you on a schedule and gradually reduce. Your doc can give you a good taper schedule. The insomnia and fatigue are the last of the symptoms to go away. Try not to depend on other addictive meds to help the WDs as that will only prolong your suffering!
This can be done! I have faith in you!!!!!!!!!!
Trams and tram like drugs have to be tapered..or should be
Can your doctor help you with this?
Or a trusted friend to dole them out daily to u...taper down safely and pick a quit day?
This never gets better so make a plan to get clean..and dont forget to have a plan to stay clean as well
Thank you! I really appreciate you taking time to help out. I look forward to discussing more...
Chris
hi welcome to the forum.....zydol sr contains the same drug in tramadol it works on the opiate receptors but is not classed as an opiate....however on high doses you will experence withdrawals coming off of it....you CAN NOT go cold Turkey and just jump off this med yuo need to taper off it slowly to avoid seizures...let your doctor know you want to get off of it
and he will be able to set you up on a taper plan this med is not ez to come off of but we have several members here who have made it off....I will send one a message she will help you a bit more then I can keep checking back she should be on by tomorrow hang in there good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
