What doctor to go to?

My son was addicted to drugs and is coming clean and suffering horrible RLS Restless Leg Syndrome and I need to know what type of doctor do I find for him to get some help?

i had a HORRIBALE bout w RLS and still have it everynight at 31 days clean... it is a pain... there is a medicine called Requip that is specifically for RLS it is non addiciting i have taken it in the past and it helped it doesnt so much help me w the rls from w/d's well i cant say that i think it has calmed it down ALOT i think i would be WAY worse w out it... u can go to a convinient care and have it prescribed if he doesnt have a dr... i would def try it.. i hoep he gets better tell him to stay the coarse cuz everything does eventually pass and get better

Your regular primary care doctor can prescribe something.  One drug that is prescribed that is non addictive is Neurontin.  Some people have side affects so be aware of that.

I know how bad rls is, if u r looking for a dr. to prescribe non addictive pain medication, I would recommend Robaxin. Your pcp can prescribe it. there r many other "at home remedies" you can try that may or may not help. Good luck, I hope your son feel better soon.

no he doesnt have a family doctor and I cant waste time going to primary then they send me to specialist cause his insurance runs out at the end of month
