Head fuzziness

Hi All.........

I'm about 17 days clean.  I was on Vicoden 7.5 for many years.  Did the suboxone detox for 6 months 1 1/2 yrs ago, then relapsed.  I was taking about 10 - 12 pills a day.  I've been reading this site since detoxing on 5/5/10.  It has helped me so much & I want to thank you all for sharing your stories & for all the support you have given. Physically I feel fine.  Still tired, but A LOT better than I was a week ago.  I have no craving for Vicoden (god, I hope I never forget what I went through) the depression, anxiety seems to have passed.  My question & concern is when does that fuzzy, lightheaded feeling go away.  I feel like I cant look someone straight in the face & have a normal conversation.  My head feels like it's in a fish bowl!  I guess it gets a ting bit better every day, but it still to the point where it's bothering me.  I"ve been sleeping good.  I eat (not much, but healthy) and am drinking lots of water and protein drinks.
If anyone has been through this or can shed some light on when it will pass, I will be greatly thankful.  Thinking of going to my PMD as he knows about my addiction, but doesn't know I have relapsed & quit "cold turkey" 17 DAYS ago.  Thank you all for support............hope you are all doing well.

..........thank you all for your words of encourgement.  Hope you are all well.  It's good to know there is a place to come & talk where everyone understands what you're going through.  Again, just wish this fogginess (or whatever you call it)  would just pass.  I could deal with the rest (I think)...........

The fog will go away.  I know it is frustrating but this is real common.  Keep yourself busy and move around as much as you can.  Congrats on 17 days!!!!        sara

Thanks for posting.  Guess I should mention that I've been doing the "thomas recipe" and I do try & get out and walk while at work.  I'm off today & am keeping busy with house cleaning and anything to keep the body moving (knee bends, sit ups) although it's still an effort.  I guess I just needed to know if this will eventually pass and my head will finally feel clear?

Hi and congrats on your 17 days, thats awesome.  Time is different for everyone, but if you can get some exercise, even just walking it helps the brain to produce endorphins and improves the thinking..also look in the health pages and check out the amino acid protocols, they do help...keep on keepin on it does get better and better...keep us posted on your progress...
