How long does withdraws last

I was on valium for 20 years.  I have taper myself off.  It has been 5 weeks and I am still feeling bad. My head feels light, I don't want to leave the house. I feel nervious all the time. Any advice.

Wow20yrs.good for u2get off them.it S U X but it just takes time.Dunno how much u took but after that long I dont think it matters u were taking them daily5weeks is awesome.What r ur worst issues?Stillba lot of anxiety,issues w/sleep?Appetite?I assume the1st2r most likely the worst.Have u tried any of the over the counter meds for anxiety and sleep aids?I hear there r some great products out there.Man5weeks WOW thats fantastic

congrats on getting off the benzos. yes addict is right it does take longer for the benzo detox. keep moving forward.please make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids, eating proteins,veggies and fruits,try moving around as much as possible. getting yourself outside and in the sun will also help. try not to isolate yourself. push yourself. it does take time for you to heal emotionally,physically,spiritually and mentally.
one day at a time. try to keep yourself busy. get out of your own head. try to concentrate on something else besides your detox. listen to music, watch tv, clean, cook, read a book, go outside, even for a little walk.
keep up the good work. you are doing awesome.

It will take a little time. Seems like it takes more time for Benzos plus your normal routine has been under the influence of the Valium.
Ease into a new life without them in your system and I promise it will be worth it. In a few weeks you will not feel so stressed........hang in there!
