How much longer???

I had an 8yr long opiate rollercoaster that came to a halt approximately 1 yr ago when I hit rock bottom and went for help. Suboxone saved my life, but I guess I didn't realize how hard it would be to quit! I tapered down and was taking only half of a 2/.5 mg strip a day. My last dose was 9days ago!!! WTF? Can't sleep cause my arms and legs seem to have a mind of their own and won't stop convulsing.  I don't feel like I have turned the corner yet, which seems absolutely amazing considering the Suboxone has to be completely out of my system by now. Is this typical for quitting Suboxone and how much longer until withdrawal symptoms stop? I'm in need of advise!

The suboxone is definitely not out of your system yet. It has a much longer withdrawal than the other short acting opiates. My doctor told me it's about 30 days until you can really say wow, I feel better. But you have 9 days in and that's huge! I'd bet your will start feeling better very soon.

The time frames are different for everyone but you should be turning the corner any day now. Take a hot bath with Epsom salt to relax and drink lots of fluids! Stay hydrated! BRIGHTER days ARE AHEAD! Don't give up...your doing great!
