How soon for a holiday ?

I have a holiday booked in 11 days..  I had forgotten.. I really had ..

I have been clean for 5 days..  Has anyone done this ?

I don't see the downside, its only 10 days..

By day 17 you should be well into your healing and be able to enjoy the holiday.
All that walking and sunshine will help your health.
Seeing how poor people are will make you thankful for everything you have and more determined to stay clean.
Think nothing but positive and happy thoughts and you will get through this.
Don't even think "I hope"...or "I'll try"...but I CAN and I WILL.

The reason for the post is that I have no idea how I will feel on day 17.. Hopefully better than day 6..

Oh.. I am in day 7 now.. Insomnia .. woot.. Every night is like new years eve .. lol.

I decided the holiday is a good thing ..  Havana is a walking holiday ... everyday I walk 2-3 hours in the 90 degree sun.. So its has forced me to get out and walk..

I did 30 minutes tonight, primarily because I want to be in shape for Havana.. Good motivation..

Have fun on your vacation and you will find that you do not need drugs in your life to have fun and enjoy things.
Once you learn this fact,you will not wants drugs or associate them with fun.
A holiday will be a good distraction and probably you will be with someone you love.
All you senses will return and it will be like a second honeymoon.

Yeah hopfully geting away will take away some of the mental part of the whole thing, that ones up to you tho if you feel like your up to staying somwhere other then your house and what not

i do not see why a safe holiday would be a bad thing??  if u were going to a place where u were around using..i guess it would be...but staying busy is a good thing as a rule for most..good luck and have fun

I should add that this trip is to Havana Cuba.. A Communist dictatorship.. It would be impossible to use drugs in that place..  

The penalties are similar to Vietnam or North Korea.. I have never been offered any drug or even seen a street addict in Cuba..

So I have zero concern over relapsing while on this holiday..
