I Really need to get off the Analgesic/Carmative

Hi
I have been taking pain killers for 15 years and my use is getting worse.I take 9 Analgesic/Carmative to go to sleep at night and if I sleep during the day I will take 8-9.
I  take them during the day 2-3 every 3-4 hrs.
I Chemist hope to make sure I have enough.I have tried so many times to come off them and then I get my period and have extreme pain and go back on then.
It started years ago when I hurt my knee and I would take Mersyndol, and Panadeine Forte.
No one knows about it.I wonder what its doing to me and worry about not living or getting a serous health problem due to abusing the tablets.
How do I kick this terrible habit before it kicks me.

Are they codeine with doxylamine succinate and paracetamol,
You say you chemist shop are you in Australia.
Pandeine forte should only be available on a script?

The reason I ask is because I'm in Australia and did exactly what you are doing,
Are you doing any damage?yes
I damaged my liver from abusing codeine,My liver function test went from 35 to 110 in 2 years,I was told it should be between 0 and 45,I was using mersyndol, fiorinal, and anything else I could get OTC,
I would go and get my liver checked and let your doctor know what you have been taking,he will help you to stop.
