I am having benzo withdrawal symtoms again??

I need help.  I think I am going crazy.  I went through a long horrible withdrawal from klonopin about 6 years ago.  To make a long story short I am experiencing similiar symtoms now from an increase in tegretol which I take for a seizure disorder. I  now have swithed to dylantin but the crazy symptoms won't go away. I felt a comfort 6 yars ago when I had a benzo support group in town.  That group has disbanded and now I feel so crazy and alone with some bizarre symptoms.  I know some of my symtoms were shared by others and I am hoping  to find a member who will answer this letter and tell me I am not crazy.  The ground moves, I feel tilted or off balance,  my extremities feel extremely heavy, and I am experiencing perceptual problems.  With Klonopin I had a lot of shaking and a funny walk which I don't have this time. Still the similarities are numerous. I know benzos are used in the last case ditch effort to control seizures so maybe there is a connection here. I found people in my 12 step group to be the most helpful and kind. It eventually after a long long time got better before. I am posting on this web sight because there might be a chance of someone relating.  I've seen neurologist and had a recent MRI I have also had my ears checked.

I have epilepsy and have taken seizure meds all of my life. I was on tegretol for epilepsy while I was coming off klonopin. I had a big seizure at work and when they increased the tegretol the scary stuff happened all over again. Tegretol is also used by some doctors for other reasons including pain.  A member of my group took it while coming off zanax.  I would never touch another benzo in my life.  I am very stressed out because I have to go through the symtoms again and it takes me a very long time to feel normal. I will look for what you just wrote about your boyfriend. Thank you both for answering back.

Is that an anti aniety like Xanax i wonder. I was just reading about xanax wd and you nailed all the symtoms to a T. I wonder are you on that drug that starts with a T that is supposed to wean you off the benzo.... This is some scary stuff and i am glad i experienced what i did with my boyfriend because i swear i will never touch another darn pill again. Benzo anti anxiety can be killers.... Why are you on anti seizure meds..... Scroll down the forum and read what i just wrote about my boyfriend... i wonder if you 2 are experiencing the same things.

Thank you for your support.  Members in my 12 step group told me that klonopin was considered to dangerous as an anti anxiety pill so it was marketed as a seizure control drug.  My doctor told me no good neurologist would ever prescibe klonopin except in an emergency where a patient was having one seizure after another.
