Sub's work mary, it just may take a day or so to feel normal. Let him know... day by day he can beat it
It is not Percocet, it is Roxocet, you are right. His counselor prescribed 3 subs a day and the Clonodine to help with the withdrawls. He is not taking the Roxocet with the Subs, he knows that will send him into full blown withhdrawls. He is seeing a Sub counselor. He is afraid of the withhdrawls, scared to death.
Well i know i can't argue with Ga guy, as he is a smart individual. a rehab facility is the best most efficient way, (from personal experience) If you have the money i recommend a certain Detox Facility... if you would like this information private message me. But its not cheap but well worth it. Mixing the two like Ga Guy said can be horrible.
Tom is correct - suboxone is to detox off the percocet. If he takes the suboxone while he is still taking percocet, it could put him into withdrawal. Suboxone is also designed to take once daily, not multiple times per day. 8 mg should be fine for the first week to detox, then as Tom said, taper down, cut the pill in quarters and have your husband take 3/4 for a few days, then go do half for about a week, then go to 1/4, and then 1/8 if you can cut it that small. Once he gets down that, he should be at the end of the 21 days and he should be able to stop with minimal discomfort. The Clonidine will help with any withdrawal symptoms he may have once he completely stops the suboxone. Best of luck
im confused on the type of pills Small round blue pills ? if he has suboxone do a 21 day taper and stick it through. Wait 24 hrs after he takes the "Percocet" until you take a suboxone save clonidine until after all suboxone is gone.
