I feel it coming...

Well, I ran out of my tramadol. I did a stupid thing and ordered some more, but it won't get here for a couple of days. My question is, we all know that I'm going to endure withdrawl, but I don't know if someone may know how severe the WD's might be due to the fact that I've been tapering down on my med? The last three days I've been taking two per day, and today, this morning, I took my last one. I feel "okay" right now due to the fact that it's extremely late and I've on a normal day I would've had 3 more. BUT, I've last night, and just about one hour ago I took a muscle relaxer maybe hoping that it would ease my WD symptoms and allow me to sleep tonite. I'm extremely on edge right now because I'm just waiting for the restless legs, insomnia, body aches, and chills to arrive and minute now. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, does anybody know if muscle relaxers help the WD process go about it's way a lil smoother, AND about how long do you think this WD will last since I've totally been taking 2 a day, and today just 1. I don't want to take the tramadol I'll let in a few days because it will just start ALL over again...

Any advice??

at 2 a day hopefully the w/d won't be that bad.  the first thing that happens to me is anxiety over when the pills will arrive and what I am going to do in the meantime then comes the sweating and diarreha.  Terribel feeling.  I am not sure if the muscle relaxers will help they might help bring u down from the rafters should u need it to relax.  u really need a plan to stop tramadol or u will wind up running out and ordering more.  the worst is running out and not having more.  Not much u can do until it gets there but endure the w/d pray it won't be too bad try to be positive and not expect the worst might not  be too bad.  Keep us informed..when do expect your pills to arrive?

Yep, you shouldn't have ordered more, but ya did, and when they arrive you will almost certainly take them.  So where does that leave ya?  Sick for a few days.  Can you buy codeine over the counter in the US (maybe that is dependent upon your state law)?  Up here in Canada you can buy it in tablets adulterated with acetaminophen and caffeine (the ratio is 8mg/300mg/15mg respectively).  If ya can, it will help get ya through the few days with minimal discomfort given that tramadol is a pretty weak ope.  Don't eat gobs of it as the acet. is hepatoxic (bad for your liver).  It is trivial to separate the acet and caffeine as well, which would give you enough codeine to sail through.  

Failing that, its just a couple of days.  Hang in there.

I am sure if u have been tapering it will help with the wds somewhat...my friend is addicted to them and runs out every 2 weeks...feels bad for 2 weeks then refills them..adangerous but so far she makes it..180 pills and sometimes they last 3 weeks..but not usually....she makes it...sounds like no fun to me evrry month...but i guess to her the 2 weeks on is worth the 2 weeks off...go figure!   u will make it..but i dont think u really want to keep doing this over and over..be safe an stick to ur goals

avisg can help you with this her doc was trams.  i know the w/ds are severe with trams but since you tapered that will help.  please just suck it up and stay off these dangs pills...take your life back now, it wont get any easier for sure.  keep posting,
