I need HELP!

I'm at my wits end! I am now taking tramadol but before that successfully withdrawlded from vicodins. Didnt know much about tramadol. My sister said they are like tylonal 3s so i asked my doctor to call them in hoping to relieve some of the back pain. Big mistake!! I never knew how bad these were! Wish i researched it like i did for withdrawlded of vicodins. Now I'm trying to get off this! I started with 1 3x a day of 50mg. Now down to taking one and trying to withdrawl off of this. It's crazy! Never felt this type of withdrawl! Not even when I withdrawlded from vicodins. I have severe shaking, diareah, I feel like the withdrawl of vicodins was easier. I feel like replacing tramadol with vicodin for now than later withdrawl from vicodins! So i just took 1 vicodin right now to see how that will help. I  know its replacing one pill for the other but dont know what else to do! I try to come on here and be positive.Im so greatful for all advice you all have given me. Please help! Thanks in advance!

I would say if ur gonna go to cokes NO MORE TRAMS AT ALL or ur just gonna w/d from both if u take both obviously.Ur on a very low dose torturing urself w/the1tram&going through awful w/d&that50mg pill isn't helping them AT ALL.The vikes will help.cut out those silly trams take the lowest dose of vikes to not b miserable &then u can come off the vikes w/ease(in comparison)just be so careful not to take too many&wind up strung out on the vikes again.Also yes name brand immodium  generously when u do have the w/d(u won't taking the vikes right now)/

Yes I've heard w/d from trams is way worse.I hate to say it but u do have am easier time going to a small dose of files then getting off them which takes3days for the worst to be over rather than weeks&weeks of trams.

Thanks  pat. I appreciate that. I found this site I think early april andso greatful for it.. it helps talkin to others...keeps our minds busy and to stay focused and positive...we fail but we pick up again...

Ok I will do that. I gave the tramadol to my husband. Thanks for the advice on best way to handle this horrible drug. So u think I'll start feeling better in a day or few?

Thanks Pat. Trying to deal with this crazy drug. Never would have started it if I knew what it would do. I just hope my friends on here dont give up on me..

I wouldn't mix the two, stay on the vicodin and yes that will take the withdrawls away including anxiety and shakes, you may have to take them for a few days and then start tapering. You'll be ok but stick to the vicodin, not a good idea to take the tramadol anymore.

Thanks for the advice. Will the Vicodin help with the withdrawl of shakes? I'm going to try & take 1/2 tramadol later or tonight. I feel like imgoing crazy...

Hang in there Wenn.  You know what works for you and you definitely have the desire to quit. For some of us cold turkey is impossible.  I think if you have the desire you will get there.  I haven't taken tramadol but from what I have read it's really tough to withdraw from.

Also take brand name immodium for the diarrhea will help a ton! The vicodin will take care of the anxiety. For your back pain you need to look into anti inflammatories and muscle relaxers, they do work if you find the right combo.

Hey there, so sorry you're having such a hard time with this, but if you feel that miserable take the vicodin to help you thru, but don't over do it and then get off, you've been there so you'll know what to do! Chin up, hang in there and don't beat yourself up for taking meds to help you.
