Suboxone,Acai,Thomas Recipe

1. Can Suboxone show up on a typical drug screen as an opiate?
2. Can you eat Acai Vitaments and take Thomas Recipe minus the Benzos while on Sub?
3.Why does the label say not to drink or take benzos on Sub ,yet i see alot of people on her do that with no adverse affects including Anti Depressants?

Today is Day 11 without an oxy for me, after 2 yr run with a short break once.I was told to take 3 Subs a day for 6 months by my Dr. I  opted to take 1 a day in 1/4s for 9 days, now i have taken 3/4s in 1/4s for 2 days. I feel the withdrawl but not to the extent where i cant handle it.Monday down to 1/2 in 1/4s.And so on and so forth, Anyone have any similar type experince like this? Or can actually answer any of these, Thanks for everyone who has been so kind and supportive. Carrie...Especially...What a great group of people. Its like being in a meeting kinda. G....

Thanks, all this information = knowledge which allows me to make a more educated decision everytime i think about my next or possible future move.Any one out there taking those Acai vitaments or Resvpur pills. They are both suppose to be really good for your health , like getting all the good stuff from a ton of grapes type thing, antioxidants.Just want to try anything that i think might be benefcial in helping the cause. At the same time i dont want to take anything that will adversely affet my little Sub detox program,Day 13 and ive went from 9 days of eating 1 in 1/4s and now 4 days of eating 3/4s in 1/4s and after tommorow its a half and by next Sunday i should be about done with this thing and it almost equals a 30 day meth detox i did from a walk in clinic abut 18 years ago which worked for me ,but as im here i did relapse again yrs later.I guess the point is i think i can do this without long term sub use ,that is the goal along with a detox that is not quite a severe as it could have been,.no picnic by any means, so far so good after sucking donw oxys for 2 yrs.....Thanks to anyone who can answer any of these questions,,,,,,,G

I have been on sub for almost 2 years... next thursday will be 2 years I believe. Currently I'm taking less than 1/2 mg a day. Originally I started on 32 mg/day, it took me almost a year to taper from there to the 0.5 mg I take now. I think it's very smart that you chose not take what your doctor wanted you to take - you've likely saved yourself alot of trauma!

Narcan - the injection junkies get when they od. Not a pretty sight!! You could indeed take a mild sedative while you're tapering the sub. Everyone reacts differently, so the first time you take one make sure you don't have to drive within a few hours until you know how you will react. The warnings on the labels are like mary said - doctors don't want people mixing meds without supervision. The narcotic in sub is super super strong, and it can lower the respiratory rate. Many of the suboxone-related overdoses are because people mix alot of sub with alot of klonopin or other downers. I think the alcohol is debatable, everyone reacts different. On my birthday I had 2 drinks and was still able to drive home ( i take sub) and I had a cold a few weeks ago and a shot of NyQuil tore me up... lol Go figure!! Just a word to the wise about the sub taper you're doing - sub has a 72 hour half life so it can take 3 days before you feel the full wd effects from a drop dose. Knowledge is power so if you know these things ahead of time they're easier to deal with. Best of luck!!

So would it be fair to say barring any other health concerns you can take a mild sedative like Klonipin or Valuim or something similar in a very low dose? I thought the alcohol would really intensfy the effect,I know years ago in my 20s i watched people pass out behind Heroin and alcohol and ive heard soem people even had t be shot up with whatever it is they use to bring you out of it or you can die.I would love to know what i shouldnt take while on Subs from the Thomas Recipe Besides teh Benzos. I would be scared to do that even though it people do..I have taken the Melatonin 2 nights out of 10 and last night  was one of them and it helped, i slept..Thanks Mary....

No Sub doesn't show on typical screens.
Yes most of the Thomas Recipe is safe while on Sub. There might be one thing you can't take and I can't for the life of me remember which it was. (hopefully someone will post that has more knowledge of it)
I guess like most meds they don't want you mixing any drugs unless under a doctors orders. My Sub doctor has given me antidepressants and was going to write a script for benzo, but I didn't want it. Sub is a very powerful med and I wouldn't mix anything with it unless the doc said it was ok. As far as drinking.......I had a couple of  rum & eggnog's around the holidays  and they hit me hard. It was like I drank 10.  So I recommend being very careful with the booze.  Hope this helped . I'm not that with it today not feeling so hot.
It's much easier to taper down on the sub in the first few months after that it gets a lot more difficult. So keep up the good work and keep posting.
