You should be turning the corner here real soon.  If the immodium isnt working then stop taking it.  Let nature takes its course.  Are you drinking plenty of fluids?

Trying to drink as much as I can. I need to go to the grocery store. I know I'd feel better if I forced myself. If would at least get me out of this bed!!! I just don't know if I can....

I made it to the store and back! Man I'm exhausted! My back (severe scoliosis and degenerative disk disease) is killing me! I have some sinus junk going on causing a fever so my body aches even more... But what an accomplishment! I feel a little better!!! I've been walking around the house a good bit, threw a load if laundry in to wash and now I'm back in PJ's laying in the couch. I'm hoping the trip to Walmart wore me out enough to make me sleep better tonight! We'll see. We all know these w/d symptoms can change at the drop of a hat!

Glad you made it to the store and back.  That should keep your husband quiet for a little while.  Little victories are all you can ask for.

I just read your other post. How are you feeling right now? Did the fever go down??That had me a bit concerned. When I was on the oxys/hydo and went through a w/d it was way different then what I just came off of almost a year ago. (Methadone, Adderral & Benzo) I ct them all at once and did not know how bad a benzo w/d could be. SO please do a taper on that one for sure. Most of the time the poisons try to come out from every where skin, nose, eyes, and p-p-p and the other end. This is all part of the process as you have been here before. I think alot of people are afraid to tell there other half, but for me he knew and gave me the time I needed. He watch all the Videos he could about this Disease and he is the one who reminds me that my Brain will take time to balance back. It did take one heck of a time at that, from my long ash drug use. We need the Support while going through this stage so they can help us while we are sick and not give us a hard time. I was very Lucky in this case.I also agree when someone said that Your Hub not understanding and you hiding it, it is causing more Anxiety. Please get ALL the Support you can in ALL areas so this does not happen again. Also take a surf around the net and study the map of the brain and what drugs and booze do to it. Then you might be more in-tune with the up & down stages. I wish you the best of luck and hang tight and fight the flight..You know it will get better..

You are doing great!!!!  Its will only get better from here on out!  Baby steps for now is all you can ask for, and with more clean time you will be bouncing back to yourself again.  I hope that you have a aftercare plan?  Go easy on yourself and got this.....

Thanks VIC.... It's a lot better go around than last time. I'm just ready to get back on track. My back is killing me from the DD Disease... I just wish that would go away too! The diarrhea finally stopped. Fever has stopped. I'm ready to be like all the normal people around me that aren't having to battle this!!!

I just wanted to add that i too am a chronic pain suffer, and when we come off the pills the pain is much worse than ever.  I am not sure if its mental or if its true but i can promise you my head played some crazy tricks on me, i will tell you that i actually went and got X-rays, made docs appointments all to make sure i was OK, deep down i was hoping i was not so i can get a RX.... YES, i am a whack job for sure.  But it all came back normal and it was all in my head, of course i had pain and the pain was worse but thats because my body had to get use  to me not being on any meds.  Here i am 5 plus months clean and yes i have pain and it sure does stink, but i had to learn how to deal with it without pills, i am still learning.  My point is, please do not underestimate how powerful our minds are.  I sure hope your pain will be more tolerable once you get some more clean time in.  You are doing great...Be proud of you

Hey Congratulations on day 4!! It sounds like you've got a lot of grit -- doing all that 'running' around just when you're most like going through the worst of it. You'll be coming down the other side of the hill really soon. So, Hang Tough! You're DOING it & should be very proud of yourself. Please, stay well hydrated (particularly because of the runs.) I know you probably don't have much of an appetite right now but try to eat binding foods: Oatmeal, cheese, rice, bread, bananas & applesauce are a few. Take those hot salt baths to ease the aches, pains & the anxiety as often as you need. (They really are life-savers.) Please, continue to let us know how you're feeling. I salute you for your hard work & wish you all the eye-on-the-prizeness, Patience & Love you'll need to see this through! We're here.

You have climbed the mountain and you're starting to see the other side....GREAT JOB! Like Dane74 said, if you're a chronic sufferer, the pained areas will feel intense for a few days but for me I could handle day 6 much better than day 3 so you're outa the woods and it will just get better from here. Congratulations :)....I look forward to hearing your progress!!!

Praise God I DO feel better today!!! I'm so thankful. I haven't slept as much today. I was sleeping off and on all day... 30 min here, an hour there... But I haven't done that today... Hoping tonight is much better than last night. I hate nights. They terrify me!!!

HA! I had to laugh out a bit. I remember I could not sleep for a long ash time and I Feared the night so bad. Then at a point in my recovery all I wanted to do is sleep. I called it my "catch up sleep". It will all balance out in time. Also I thought when I was using that I had fibro and my back is kind of bad, well when I got clean all this got better and now I hardly feel pain except my shoulders which is just bursitis from my muscles knotting up. It is a long ash ride (as you know) but the experience is something you will never forget. Kind of made me grow up a bit..ha! lol

My dr also had me on a sleep aid bc lack of sleep was one of the triggers. I don't take them every night. Only when I have to. I wonder if it'd be ok to take one before bed tonight???

To be fair to yourself, try to get to sleep on your own first.  It's so important to let things follow a natural rhythm...you'll know when it's too much and you need something to sleep; just be cautious...

You're doing great...so great! Good girl!

Mgrace.... YOU CAN DO IT!!! It's so freaking hard, not gonna lie, but it can be done!
I slept a LITTLE better last night. From 11pm to 4:45 am. Not too, too bad. Not great either. I kinda expected a little more. Oh well..... Maybe I'll sleep better tonight. Who knows. I'm a little anxious right now.... Sweating some..... But I can tell im getting better.

I slept a little over 5 hrs and felt like I was having an anxiety attack. I went back to sleep for about 2 more hrs and woke up even more anxious!! Is there something OTC I can get to take between doses of my Xanax? I'm afraid I've over taken it and will run out before I'm due to refill. I'm gonna have to taper to half of what I'm suppose to take now as it is!! Is there anything OTC?
