I totally agree with nursegirl. Most responsible Drs. in the know won't prescribe these two together. Xanax is the strongest benzo & a nasty kick. 10 mgs is a high dose. Are you on a clinic, my friend?:) Can you tell us what it was prescribed for if it was prescribed?
Oh dear!!! You're playing with fire! Those two medications are STRONGLY CONTRAINDICATED to be taken concurrently, due to the risk of respiratory depression and respiratory arrest. That risk becomes very real and significant when someone is taking a high dose or either or both. I don't know what dose of Sub you're on, but taking 10mg of Xanax could really land you in a bad bad situation. Are you getting the Subutex through a Sub doc/clinic? I'd be surprised if you are, as MOST clinics will NOT prescribe subs to a patient who is taking a benzo of any kind at any dose.
Please please talk to your doctor, right away!
Hi go back to your doctor, maybe the 2 dont mix well together or one of your meds needs to be higher or lower : )
