In need of help

I have been addicted to hydro, oxy, basically any pain killer out there that can get you high. I had 2 surgeries on my shoulder 5 years ago. I have been clean for a couple of weeks now, but I still have that urge to get more. I have 3 kids and a wife that seems to think that my way of getting clean is funny. I was listening to music, trying to find a song that hits home with my struggle to stay drug free. I told her about it and she laughed. I guess for someone not dealing with the withdrawals of addiction, this could be funny. I have tried more than 3 times to get clean and all 3 times I went back to pain killers. Any help, support or advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's what we are here for my friend. We are all in the same boat. Soon you will see many people who have WAY MORE knowledge and clean time than myself responding to your post. I just wanted to let you know that u aren't alone...

You are doing GREAT!! I use music as therapy as well... No ONE song has really done it but SHINEDOWN, STAIND, KID ROCK, BUCKCHERRY, GOOD CHARLOTTE , have all helped me in some way. you CAN do this. MIND OVER MATTER... Your in the game and we are all on your team!
