Lyrica isnot a sleep aid. Its for people with nerve pain/fibromyalgia and the such. I take it only for 4 days now, lowering the dose each night for fear of addiction. They say its non addictive but LIARs Liars, pants on fires. I have heard of horrific withdrawal stories from it. Lunesta gave me the metalic taste as does Ambien. Also makes my gums inside my cheeks sore and jaw pain. Had to get off of both. Lyrica makes me sleep all night and half the morning so, Im not taking it anymore. Not a good drug for sleeping if that's what your looking for. Has addictive qualities.

Hey Sandy is Lyrica better than Lunesta? I'm trying out the Lunesta but I get a metalic flavor after I take it and it doesn't go away till like mid day the next day...

I cant take any over the counter sleep aids. They all give me more resltess legs that I already have and huge anxiety the next day. I cant sleep at all! But last night I tried something different. I took two calcuim pills, ( they always make me feel kinda sluggish), then I drank my shot of magnesium powder in a teensy bit of water), took a while but I slept on my own for the first time in month for an HOUR!!! lol, after tossing and turning, I took a 25mg Lyrica around 3:30 and slept till 8:00AM, took another nap at 9:30 and woke up at 10:45 AM. Lyrica drugs me to sleeep, and I dont want to get use to it. I want to fall asleep on my own.

The zzzquil is what a lot of people like. I just had the normal NyQuil. I took about 1 lil cup full that came with it and another half. Seemed to work for me.

I'm awake, sadly. I slept only an hour and a half and my body is telling me it's time to get up :(

Awake. But I slept for 6 plus hours. I use to take NyQuil. Seem to work for me.

I'm awake. I slept just fine for the first month, I guess my body decided it wasn't going to let me off that easy. Have had insomnia going on a week now.
