Day 16

Today I woke after 8 hours of sleep, rested, content, and peaceful. I feel whole. For all of you who are struggling on your first days, it IS possible, and if you just hang on tight to faith, or hope, or even a comfy blanket (some days that was all I could find) and push push push!!
The light at the end is so much brighter, the feelings, more intense, and the tastes so amazing!!!

I didn't think I would/ could do it.
I didn't think I would/could be happy without them.
I wasn't happy with them, I am happy now.
I was dead- now I am alive. Very simple.
Get to a meeting, start changing your perspective, and DON'T USE!!!!

You go girl!  Tonite at 5pm  14 days clean for me..I finally slept for 9 hours last night.  What a diffirence.  I guess I am stresssed at night I won't be able to sleep.  Ambien did help last night.  I have NO w/d NO desire to use again.  And I will walk my oldest daughter down the aisle April 11th  Clean and SOBER!!!

Wonderful achievment with 16 days!  I'm on 10 and it has been amazing after the awful day 8!  I'm excited to be at 10 moving right along!it will be a month befor we know it!

Thanks for this post. Day 15 for me and the sleep thing is driving me nuts. Every night is endless. Last night was the first night that I wasn't up and awake for most of the night. I didn't sleep sounds at all, but i got more rest and sleep than i have in the last 2 weeks. Thanks for giving me hope! Congrats on 16!!

Congrats on 16 days girl!!  You've kept your eye on the prize and that is you and your recovery.  I remember the day in the drive thru too....You were yelling the "f" bombs!!   Keep workin it!!         sara

wtg on day 16....I remember your first few days how depressed you were then I think you were at the drive through getting coffee and you deleted your contacts phone number or something like that. You are a inspiration to the rest and enjoy your peaceful drug free day.
